Boost Pressure Calculator - Stage 1

Estimate power gain based on boost pressure, intercooler, and conditions.

🔧 TECHNICAL DATA: Performance, consumption, and specifications shown are THEORETICAL values based on manufacturer data or statistical averages. Actual values vary depending on driving style, conditions (weather, terrain, traffic), vehicle maintenance, and wear. For accurate data, consult the manufacturer's manual or have your vehicle evaluated by a professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much power is gained with a turbo?

As a rule, 0.5 bar = +30-50% power, 1.0 bar = +50-80%. This depends on intercooler efficiency, mapping, and engine limitations.

What is turbo lag?

It's the delay between acceleration and turbo pressure buildup. Modern turbos (twin-scroll, VGT, electric) reduce lag to under 0.5 seconds.

How does altitude affect turbo?

Air being less dense at altitude, a naturally aspirated engine loses ~3% power per 1000m. A turbo partially compensates by increasing pressure to maintain density.
